What is Leveling in poker?

Leveling stems from the concept of thinking in levels. Level 1: How strong is my hand? Level 2: How strong is their hand? Level 3: How strong do they think my hand is? Level 4: How strong do they think I think my hand is? These levels can go on forever. Leveling wars are situations where players involved in a hand are trying to figure out at which level their opponent is thinking at, to then one-up them.
