Three of a kind
in poker?
A made hand consisting of three cards of the same rank. Synonymous with "trips". Both 'trips' and a 'set' could technically be classified as three of a kind but are often differentiated. Trips make three of a kind with 2 community cards and 1 hole card, whereas a set makes three of a kind with 1 community card and 2 hole cards.
